Yes, it is. But it took me a while to find it.
The feature first appeared with a beta release. I think it was v2.13
Lucky Beta/2:

from different reg key (in form ProductName+<that string>)
This was the description without further explanation, and then one of
the list members wrote this. It's very simple and it seemed to work
for him:

| Just set up a separate directory for TB! Beta, and run it as
| "thebat.exe /reg:beta". It will create and begin using its own
| registry branch, separately from your normal TB usage. This way you
| can have a stable (okay, semi-stable) TB! for your everyday usage, and
| a (buggy to hell and back) beta for testing purposes.
