AM> I've been following your problem just now and it's really very odd.
AM> Unfortunately the problem occurs with account folders in which you can't

Really strange thing then. The only way I can think of why this happens not to
all, but only to a few folders then, is that I changed when the bat was still
installed on the d: partition the paths manually, in the bat 'Edit Folder
Properties', so that its maybe my own fault - but then still, why is the bat
still using those? This is really a mystery to me.

AM> Take a look at the Users Depot subkey and see what the entries are
AM> like.

AM> "HKCU\Software\RIT\The Bat!\Users Depot"

AM> Paths that are away from the default are usually stored there.

AM> Do you see any paths defined for the D: partition?

No unluckily they seem all to be alright

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\RIT\The Bat!\Users Depot]
"Count"=dword:00000005
"User #1"="Adrian"
"Dir #1"=""
"User #2"="adrian A."
"Dir #2"=""
"User #3"="Feucht"
"Dir #3"=""
"User #4"="mindblaster"
"Dir #4"=""
"User #5"="a. -admin"
"Dir #5"=""

When i yesterday deinstall the bat, i also erase the whole RIT key branch so
that the registry settings should be fine - I didn't made a computer reset
before installing the bat again, but hope that is not necessary.

I also used ultraedit32 for scanning in the files of the bat and search the
whole registry for this d: path, but neither of them showed any luck, even the
deletion of the .tbi files and then folders recovery was of no use.

I can only think two ways how to solve the problem at this point. The first is
to delete all the files which the bat can restore by itself and then make again
a backup-restore, or the other way is if someone knows where the path for the
mail folder is stored, to change it with a hex editor.

But maybe the best is to make a new mail account and then move the messages from
the old one in the bat to the new. And because I lost when i made the restore of
my mails the Sorting office/filter setting, I have either way some work to do :)

have a great week
adrian
