See how I have replied? I cut away the bits of the old message I
didn't refer to. That's called "trimming". I kept the bits I was
talking about. That's called "context". It's better to do it that way.

Your reply template forces you to leave all the quotes in a block.
That's mostly where it goes wrong for you. You can't write the reply
like this - as a conversation. You might want to change that.
