During testing of Version 3, ie. late betas of Version 2, the New File System was introduced and some people tried using it. When you used the New File System in these betas, The Bat! looked at your .srx files and used them to create .srb files. These translations did not always work very well, so when you went to install a newer beta or Version 3 it was best practice to delete all your old .srb files so new ones would be created. In your case if you didn't have any .srb files then you probably never played with the New File System in the betas and thus would have never created them. ***Warning*** Take the following as my opinion and not fact. My guess is that once you are completely moved over to Version 3 and everything is working alright you could then delete your .srx files, but this is only speculation on my part and awaits confirmation from higher authority. Hope I've got this right. -- Best regards, Stuart mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Using The Bat! v3.0.1.33 On Windows 98 4.10 Build #2222 ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
