Just to allay your fears a bit...

I deleted those files a long time ago and nothing ill has come of it.

Also, programs are not guaranteed that the contents of the Temp folder
with remain from session to session, so well-behaved programs, of
which Windows Installer is one, only store files in there for one run;
they do not expect them to be there next time.
