MT> K9 - http://keir.net MT> I've been using it for quite a while. I settled on thebat some months MT> ago and tried the built-in anti-spam. I found it really poor, but MT> persevered. I've now given up. K9 worked really well to start with MT> and just got better quite quickly. It's 99.27% accurate with MT> virtually never a false positive. TheBat on it's own maybe managed MT> 50% . MT> K9 can be a bit non-obvious to set up, but after that it's just great. I would recommend K9, as well, and SpamPal. I've had K9 running with The Bat! for about 6 weeks and it's 98.5% accurate. All the inaccuracies now are false negatives (spam misclassified as good), because spammers keep finding new combinations to bypass bayesian filters. The ongoing training is a bit of a hassle, but I kind of enjoy it. I have also been running SpamPal on an Outlook Express system and it continues chugging along at 100% accuracy, with the only intervention being periodic updates. For a no-brainer spam filter, go with SpamPal. For a filter that, while requiring a bigger learning curve and more user involvement, can be fine-tuned for your own breed of good mail and spam, try K9. -- Code 2 :canadaflag: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] The Bat! version 2.12.00 on Windows XP Service Pack 2 On the menu of a New Orleans restaurant: Blackened bluefish ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
