So I'm no expert, but my fist test is always to use telnet to see what's going on - 'cos that's how I used to do it years ago :-) Have a Google for "telnet pop" for all the gory details, but you should be able to knock out a quick session like this: telnet <pop IP address> 110 user <your POP login> pass <your POP password> LIST - list you message headers RETR # - to view a message number # DELE # - to delete message QUIT - to exit Perhaps you'll get a message that you can post back here and someone clever can come up with a fix?
