Have you emptied your temp files? Sometimes too many TB! temp files
will cause weird behavior.

Hmm. Sp2 has a new firewall for XP. Are you running that firewall? If
you're running a different firewall, did you disable the one in XP
SP2's Security Center? (Control Panel/Security Center)

Perhaps, also, it might help to refresh everyone's mind here on tbudl
with another description of the sequence of events when your "hang"
problem occurs. Want to post that?

There are some pretty good minds here and I believe we haven't yet run
out of things to try!
