hmhmmmmmm
The only thing that comes to mind isn't pretty, and
should be tested, first, of course, and yes, very
PITA. ;)

a) Export those messages with attachments you want to
keep to Unix style mailboxes.

b) Make sure your new mail settings keep attachments
in the message bodies (for the next step)

c) Import the messages into a new folder. This should
make them part of the tbb file, I would think, instead
of external attachments

D) delete all those old messages and the messages you
don't want, and the attachments should go with them.

*But I would back everything up first in case it goes
horribly wrong....* Not sure how this will work if
there is a .msg inside a .msg inside a .msg like you
get with Forwarded jokes, but embedded attachments are
meant to be embedded attachments...

A small test should decide whether this cures, helps,
or does nothing to help you with your situtation. Set
up a second bogus e-mail account as aprt of your test,
and import into that, since it will have its own
attach folder to inspect and review.

Moving between folders didn't work (I did a quick test
and looked into the tbb files, the mail keeps the
original reference, eg. X-Content-File: C:\Program
Files\The Bat!\MAIL\MY_ISP_A\Attach\IMAGE0013.JPG even
though I moved it to the MY_ISP_B inbox.

That's the only thing that comes to my mind, perhaps
someone else has a better idea, but...... I think I
know what you may doing ALL day Saturday!
