Hello, >> Any issues here? Am I missing a maintenance step or two?
ASK> None that I'd know of. Using a normal defrag program will do the same as ASK> the defragmentation in BayesIT (and more, of course). ASK> In some special cases, a "real" defrag program will work better Drifting a bit OT here, I was interested to read this article from the UK's PCPro mag: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/realworld/68124/avalon-on-xp/page3.html Look for "Putting on the Frighteners" about half way down. This ties in with my experience that, when my diskeeper software had for some reason failed to run its scheduled defrag for about 6 months I noticed absolutely no change in system performance. This is contrast to my old fat16 experiences when a decent defrag could make quite a significant (though subjective) difference. -- Nick ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.0.1.33 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
