Dear Jerrold,

That sounds like a registry entry from a system user where The Bat!
had been run but never had the registration applied. It may yet be in
the "Users" hive of the registry under your own user login. Is it
worth repeating the exercise and looking there? (and, should you find
the entry there and it contains the SoftwareRegistrationId key go
ahead with the export / import procedure).

JM> So, would you suggest:

JM> 1. I just try and register this as an original registration,

JM> 2. Take David up on his generous offer to help out with his v1

JM> 3. Something else?

(1) will not be possible with a valid registration / password set. (2)
is the only viable course of action now.
