I saw the feature in MD> Thunderbird (and I'm sure it's in other mail clients), and liked it a lot. I understand. For me, the number of messages in the Outbox when different from 0 is hint enough, but people work different ways. A bold Outbox indicating that there are messages waiting to be sent is interesting (but would not be my preference), but what I personally would like is a query dialog upon shutdown saying, "There are unsent messages. Would you like to send them before shutting down?". This of course refers to messages that currently make the Outbox bold already. But I have more than 10 Outboxes, so it would be helpful to me. Everybody has different ideas how their mail client should deal with the issue. In TB, it is not possible to make the Outbox bold if there are drafted messages, that should answer your initial question. Many people like it that way, but you can still hand in a wish to change that. I wouldn't support it, as I don't need it, but maybe there are others who would. Make sure to post the URL on this list when you file that wish. BTW here is a work-around: Mark your unsent messages as "flagged". Then create a virtual folder that will list all flagged messages in your Outbox. Check that folder before shutting down TB, or at any time. -- Cheers, Thomas.
