Are you sure you didn't install BayesIt along with TB. The symptoms
look like problems with BayesIt. As you can't access TB, you can't
unistall BayesIt in the the proper way, just check for a BayesIt
directory either in your mail or program directory and delete it.
Check whether that cures the problem.

TB doesn't choke on that, at least not over here. My mail partition is
E: and my Program/Windows partition is I:

Just uninstall TB. When it asks what to do with the mail directory
just tell it to leave it alone. (Though a back-up won't do you no
harm.)
Install TB again.
It'll ask you whether you want to create a new account or get one from
a back-up (TB-style)
Pick 'new account'
TB asks for a mail directory, select your current one.
TB asks for an account name, enter the name of your current account
and TB will pick that up.
Repeat this last step for your other account.
