Not the way it is currently implemented. If subjects repeat over time, it may get buried in ages old thread, instead of current thread. Also, if one wants to fix threading, it just gets annotated in a file somewhere and doesn't actually fix the mail. No editing of mail, or making notes in a message in the mailbox is allowed. I would like to be able to make notes in email messages. Such as annotate phone conversations about an email, etc. There is a work around, where you can make floating notes you might remember to look at later, which seems inadequate to me. There seems to be some notion that it is WRONG to want to make a note in a message, and that someone might one day perpetrate a forgery if such an ability existed, and they are saving users from themselves. -- Dwight A.
