Hi Alexander,

It seems to me that they should be automatically sent. Basically what I am seeing means that messages created and sent by hand are send but any automatically generated messages are not! I think this basically the net result is that MAPI with the Bat is unusable for anything automatic. > I don't see the benefit of TB connecting to Exchange via MAPI In my situation where I am using TB at work, I want email to go through our Exchange Server because this means that the sent and reply addresses can come from our corporate domain. > (after all, > it downloads all the messages, and the Exchange folder and your local MAPI > folder will be out of sync in no time, creating duplicate messages in the > local folders). I have not found this to be a problem, simply scheduling a send and receive with the server deals with this (at least in my experience). > As long as TB can't connect to Exchange mailboxes directly, > I have to keep using Outlook at work. I think that this is certainly a significant issue in my mind, particularly as the very first benefit listed on the Ritlabs page about TB benefits (http://www.ritlabs.com/en/products/thebat/features.php) is: "Microsoft Exchange Connectivity The Bat! connects to Microsoft Exchange Servers using native MAPI protocol to fetch or send the messages." As far as I can see this doesn't work as it should. I might try and get POP3 or IMAP up and running on the Exchange server and see whether that will work better. However given the current feedback about the current version and IMAP on this list POP3 may be the best option. -- Warmest regards, Paul Created using TheBat! 3.51.10 on Windows XP ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.51.10 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
