Let's have the same discussion every year. Or, instead, please read
the reason in favour of allowing images to be downloaded from the 'net
in the wishlist entry.

rg> Should you be able to turn off this protection?

One should not only be able to, it should be turned off by default.

Not over here. If you have a mail that has both images that there sent
with the message and images which are only linked to, I have the choice
of viewing only the ones sent with it (in TB) or the ones linked to
(with the browser - the images sent with the mail will not be shown
there).

Also, I find it highly annoying that I have to open my webbrowser
every time a newsletter from Lufthansa comes in. And I highly doubt
that they will send me webbugs. If they do, it is my own
responsibility and not that of a nannying email client to decide
whether I want to download the images or not. I want to whitelist
Lufthansa. Please do read the wishlist entry. Here it is again:

O G, I'm in the mood again. ;-)

denn es ist von allen Seiten von Wasser umflossen.
