If the mailinglist program is configured to NOT alter or SET the "reply-to" header, the reply will go to the original sender. This is the default setting for a mailinglist of the "announce" type. Mailing lists like TBUDL are "discussion" lists, they are configured to re-write any reply-to header to the list-address. When you use the reply function, the address from the reply-to header is used. If I were you, I'd talk to the list owner of the list in question.
