E-mail can be managed whatever program you use. My use of GTD in
TheBat is this: Don't keep anything in my Inbox. Instead, put it in
the appropriate folder. Create folders for @Action, AWaiting,
@Someday. Add ToDo tasks for e-mails in my ToDo system (I use a Palm
for this).

I don't use Outlook. On the Desktop side, I use Ecco and Bonsai (for
tasks).

I must admit that I don't always clean out my Inbox entirely. It's my
goal, though.
