I was trying to explain to a few people, on another List, about the need and usefulness of the *cut mark* sequence. What I really wanted was just a little *clout*, for want of a better word. If there was an RFC *suggesting* the use thereof, I would like to point to that in future discussions just because some people <sigh> just don't do things because it makes sense. Rather, they do it because it is a posted Rule.
