If you just want to filter mails coming from a list of senders  into
one folder, I know I did that with version 2.x. Even with 1.x, it's a
basic filtering functionality. I just don't remember the GUI of 2.x
any more.

Try this: Highlight the filter and right-click on it. If there is an
option "Copy" use that and paste the filter into your reply to this.

If you don't have that option, it was introduced with a later
version...
