Surprise surprise.

The first line contains six characters:

20 06 79 19 08 0C

Everything after that is 00. 116,160,809 bytes of it, less the six
header characters.

So, the mails are lost. Or would be, had I not archived them before
running Maintenance. In fact, I archive several times per day, and now
I know why.
