You could get around it only if Norton has some option to "automate"
this process thus not popping up those windows on you, but doing all
what he does "in background". For instance if is possible to set it to
move & rename the infected messages in a quarantine, so you can examine
them later if you want, and to proceed further its work without your
interaction.

On the level of TB, would be possible to exclude its temporary files
only if it would have its own sub-folder (eg.: thebat) for them (as
Total Commander has, for instance) inside the OS's temp folder. But
again this wouldn't be good in this particular case because an AV _has_
to deal somewhere with files it scans.
