They administrators are a PITA and are so M$ orientated they have no idea
what LDAP is, let alone what the connection is needed to it.

However I have done a bit of digging and I think that I have the info I
need, much to the annoyance of system administrators who said it was not
possible.

As usual as soon as I set my mind to do something I find that I know more
about a subject than the experts.
