Here the Russian text you quote shows in my pre-viewer like you have it described, and your message has charset iso-8859-1. When in the pre-viewer I select KOI8-R instead, I do see Russian fonts but having no sense (a "random" Russian letters, with inverted capitalization). When I hit <reply> and then change charset to KOI8-R in editor, I see correctly your quote (as it is visible above) with its full original meaning. But, I use version 2.12.00. The Russian text we quote here is originally from a message written by KOI8-R charset. > What other settings? I have tried Rich Text, HTML and the usual, > plain-text I normally use. The problem with your mailer/version is that it, for unknown reasons, switches to other charset than the one, KOI8-R in this example here, you use in your editor. I always use Courier New, plain-text, and my TB version automatically takes over the original charset of the message I reply to, except I didn't set it otherwise (this one I did set to KOI8-R, in my editor, manually, instead your original iso-8859-1). - -- Mica PGP keys nestled at: http://blueness.port5.com/pgpkeys/ [Earth LOG: 483 day(s) since v3.0 unleashing] OSs: Windows 98 SE Micro Lite Professional IVa Enterprise Millennium Windows XP(ee) Micro Lite Professional 1.6, and, for TB sometimes, Gentoo and Vector Linuxes via Wine... ~~~ For personal mail please use my address as it is *exactly* given in my "From|Reply To" field(s). ~~~ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQEVAwUBQ7KPxrSpHvHEUtv8AQOqNQgAlleCyvQwiAnBvmuQNsFk4sHndUEV+F00 qbo6rCFikXAQDOwgoSz1H4RPgcsI/L0D4fUGYjZROsio00K7bSy5HpMlYoH601PM U1VyLhFRxC3PQ+D6HDujIxVmPkdGXYYBQby+JzE4CMhUmk6AuIGneSWWbcbYEBSH ZOAdZLhi02wHvX+yUrlzWzwicO/jt6JrGrYUxdq/q4KwweQjDOP0ao0sLIi9HEcg a5JBabzaNd/BZ950MWrL+/epauC8dDnzXMRyEtDEZUKQbq6D/+c/bqMVavzcTRBs Rc195cd6LE4NRonR45cqWJulnUk5qQRp4YkZwqlQQIUZlpe4JNIFQQ== =7Z/p -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________ Current version is 3.64.01 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
