Yes, of course. I was missing the scrollbar thing. However, with Roelofs message the problem should be sorted now, or is it? A different way to get to the same preferences dialog would be to right click in the header pane, browse to the menu "headers", then to the entry "edit headers" at the bottom of the menu. In the list of headers you can edit each header, and on the bottom of the "General" tab is the checkbox "display this header in the scrollable part..." that Roelof mentioned.
