Since our e-mail client can handle it nicely (i.e., it knows it's
there, but doesn't show it), it makes replying to your messages easier
(I don't have to manually delete the
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- and related text.

However, I agree with you for the most part. Most people seem to be
able to ignore the -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----, but can't seem
to ignore the "mystery attachment" their e-mail client displays for a
PGP MIME message.

Another benefit I just realize after adding the paragraph above (after
queuing to send): The Bat! will automatically strip out the old
signature and re-sign the edited message.
