The only thing "still going on" is that spammers fake their mass mailings' X-Mailer header - and it will probably be that way as long as spam exists. The logic of ISPs blocking mails according to the content of the X-Mailer header is beyond any comprehension - how many of your 189 spam e-mails claim to be created by Outlook/Outlook Express?
