You could use the mass mailing feature, that way every contact gets
his own message. That has the disadvantage that it uses more
bandwidth, but a big advantage is that it allows you to personalise
the messages by using first names or handles in the message and with
entering the company they're working for, you could even get something
like this:
,----- [ ]

| Hi lois,

The only way to do that with TB is sending it like this:
To: "Wildcats local email list" <Mic's address>
and BCC-ing all of the recipients
Unfortunately TB doesn't like bogus text strings without a valid
address in the To: header (I just tried it), it will try to use your
bogus text as address, thus keeping the message from being sent.

That's why I suggested to keep the To: header empty or better still to
use the mass mailing feature.
Another option would be to use some third party tool that acts like a
list server. I've played around with those in the past and there are
several of those that can have a fixed To: header. Can't give you any
examples though, as it's been a while since I've used anything else
than the list server integrated in my mail server. Besides I think
that would be a tad of overkill.

Actually that's the way to go before posting to a public list like
this. No reason to have others solve problems you could have solved
yourself. ;-)
