If you're being watchful of the price, I'd wait another three months, anyway. However, when 3.xx came along, and some people got caught in the situation you describe, IIRC correctly, those who had bought within the last few days were given refunds for the upgrade. Within the last few weeks, an even more substantial discount than the one being given to others who were upgrading. But this is total speculation. For myself, if v. 4.xx came out tomorrow, I'd buy it.
