That's because you weren't using 3.85.03 when you wrote your previous
message, but 3.86.02 (Alpha) and that tries to to be Vista compliant
and Vista doesn't allow programs to set themselves as default mail
client (or so I've been told)
3.85.03 does what you want it to do on this subject
