Fellow list members, Because of differences between computers and operating systems, I am unsure if this question can be answered with any certainty. Since my recent debacle with messages disappearing (in defense of TB, they went missing after a crash while TB was still open) I have set up TB to perform automatic backups daily at 0200hrs. This on an HP laptop running Vista Home Premium. This laptop automatically goes to 'sleep' whenever the lid is folded closed. So, my question is: Will TB 'wake up' the computer (even though the lid is closed) and perform it's backup? This AM was the first time the automatic backup was performed and it should have started at the scheduled time. However, when my wife opened the computer at around 0730hrs, the backup was still in progress. Did it not start until the computer was opened or has it actually been running since 0200hrs? She may have a total of 2500 messages in the entire account spread over several folders.
