If you know a text or so which is guaranteed somewhere do a search over all the msgs and select ONE line where you select what to search for. Keep it simple so that if its somewhere you will find in. Then check where its sitting if you find it... Note you can also select 'last week' and *.* for the file name so you find anything saved in the last week... You should know what will give a bulls-eye! If you still have the backup file you likely have to do the restore again.
