Hello Hajdú, Wednesday, July 14, 2010, 1:04:03 AM, you wrote in response to my question, "What is the best way to set up The Bat on a new computer when that computer is attached to a home network that has 2 computers running The Bat?" the following:

I do have a few more questions that probably seem very elementary: I am able to create a backup file. I presume that is the .tbk file. However, I need more specific guidance about installing a copy of TB on the new laptop and the restore. Do I download a copy of TB from the Ritlabs website? If not, what file am I copying from the old laptop to the new laptop for the installation? Do you recommend using the most recent version, or will I avoid headaches by using the version that I have without upgrading? Then, will I be prompted to restore during the install process, or do I wait until after that process is complete to then restore? If I wait until after the install is complete, do I then just go to Tools/Restore, check all the boxes and then highlight the .tbk file after clicking on "add?" -- Avi Avram Sacks Using The Bat 4.0.18 on Windows XP Pro SP3; soon on Windows 7 ________________________________________________ Current version is 4.2.23 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
