Hi Eugene,

We have JMX heartbeat event to determine if the server is up and running.
JMXHeartBeatTest would be a good start.

Taylor,

There is an option to skip starting server, which you can specify on
the command line or in pom.xml. See details on the wiki.

We can also add some code to check if server is already running (if
someone could hint me how to do that trough jmx).

  regards,
  Eugene

Sounds great - what happens if there is already a server running -
suppose you run the command twice to check clustering across VMs?

I've committed few more updates for the Maven plug for Terracotta and
updated project wiki at
http://www.terracotta.org/confluence/display/wiki/Terracotta+Maven+Plugin

Major addition is tc:run task that allows to create bootjar, start DSO
server and multiple java processes with specified main class in one
command.

There is an example project examples/maven-tc-plugin-test that you can
try. Just run mvn tc:run command after installing plugin as described on
the above wiki page.

 regards,
 Eugene
