Hi all, A compelling case could potentially be made for clustering ESB and MQ software, since I believe they are often deployed in clustered environments, and this would save users the hassle of setting up a traditional cluster configuration. From what I have heard before, an ESB would need to be clustered to help provide additional throughput, while the MQ needs to be clustered to provide a larger storage pool for messages waiting ot be processed. ServiceMix and / or MULE and ActiveMQ would be good targets to cluster since they are frequently used open source ESBs and MQ software.
It looks like there are quite a few components that make up both of the ESBs, and I don't have much of a clue on what else would need to be clustered besides the MQ component, but I thought it would be good to toss the ESB / MQ clustering idea out on the list for discussion. :-) Cheers, Jim
