That is what I thought.  The auto-block and auto-synchronized should
work fine for us then.

I haven't used aspect expressions in a couple of years so I am a little
rusty.  Is it possible to write an expression that includes "extends
Object" or "implements interface"?  If this is the case then this should
be quite easy, otherwise it would be hard because we have some teams and
figuring out how to write the expression to catch everything would be
tricky.
