The School of Computer Science is looking for a Research Fellow within the
EPSRC funded project UBHave: Ubiquitous and social computing for positive
behaviour change.

The UBHave project aims to devise tools to study and influence human behaviour
through mobile phone and social networking technology. Our objective is to lay
foundations for a systematic science that can underpin future developments of
digital behaviour change interventions.

The project is in collaboration with the University of Southampton, the
University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford and University College London.

The Research Fellow will conduct internationally-leading research in mobile and
socially-aware systems. S/He will develop research objectives and proposals for
own or joint research and will contribute to writing future bids for research
funding. S/He will also analyse and interpret research findings and results
with the aim of disseminating them in top international journals and
conferences.

To apply you must hold a first degree in the areas of computer science,
electronic engineering, mathematics or a related discipline, and normally, a
PhD relevant to the research area or equivalent qualifications. Also, you
should have demonstrated your research competence through high-quality and
high-impact publications in top conferences in the area of mobile and sensing
systems and/or machine learning. You should have a high level of analytical
capability and ability to communicate complex information clearly. You should
be fluent in relevant models, techniques or methods and the ability to
contribute to developing new ones. Knowledge of machine learning and/or data
analysis techniques (or willingness to acquire them) is really appreciated.

Informal enquiries may be made to Dr Mirco Musolesi
(http://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/~musolesm/) at the School of Computer Science.
