The ACM ICUIMC 2012 Organizing committee has received multiple requests to extend the amount of time for papers for the upcoming event in February 2012. In order to accommodate the majority of these requests, the committee has extended the submission deadline until October 30. Yurgenson: We are pleased to announce that the International Conference on Ubiquitous Information Management and Communication (ICUIMC 2012) will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 20 to 22 Feb 2012. It is believed that the high participation from many countries is the critical factor for the success of the coming conference. We, therefore, kindly ask you to encourage researchers and students to participate in the conference. We are happy to inform that the conference organization will provide partial financial support for travel budgets to students whose papers are selected. In ICUIMC 2011, more than 15% of participants were benefited. The ACM ICUIMC conference, which is the renowned international conference, will continue maintaining the acceptance ratio less than 30% strictly to guarantee the papers' quality and the conference's authority. Last year, ICUIMC 2011 received total 534 papers from 33 countries, 142 organizations. Among them, 135 papers were accepted finally, and the accepted papers were indexed in SCOPUS. Selected papers presented at the conference will be published after further improvement and revision at two SCI and two SCIE journals.
