As one of the reviewers in Michalis' Global Internet workshop experiment
I thought I'd add two thoughts.

Like Michalis, I felt the GI '07 reviewing experience went well. The one
result that multiple PC members mentioned was that you could not slack off
on reviewing a bad paper. No one felt they were trying to be nicer in
reviews and I didn't see any signs in the ratings that people were
grading higher. One comment was that just putting one's name on the
reviews still didn't give reviewers the complete picture -- the discussions
among reviewers played a key role and if we were going to pursue the
approach further, we needed to find a way to expose discussions.

At the same time, I am struck that the number of submitted papers
plummeted and stayed down (Joe's point).

Thanks!

Craig
