Description:        The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of 
Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the 
Assistant Professor level for Fall 2012. Energetic, highly motivated 
researchers/teachers seeking challenging and fulfilling academic careers are 
sought to aid in the University of Arkansas quest for excellence. All research 
specializations will be considered with a preference for Communications but 
candidates in Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design, Power Systems and Control 
Systems, and Signal and Image Processing will be also considered. Applicants 
are expected to have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related 
discipline. The department offers great potential for collaborative research, 
both within and across disciplines. The selected applicant is expected to teach 
core and elective courses related to her/his specialization and establish a 
research program with external funding. Startup funds will be provided to aid 
the applicant in establishing a research program.
