CALL FOR PAPERS Workshop on “Green Communication & Cloud Computing” (GCCC)
Co-Located with the 8th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC 2012) http://iwcmc.com August 27-31, 2012, Grand Resort Hotel, Limassol, CYPRUS Aims and Scope The International Workshop on “Green Communication & Cloud Computing” will be held in conjunction with IWCMC 2012. The International Workshop on “Green Communication & Cloud Computing” provides a forum for engineers and scientists in academia, industry and government to present their latest research findings in green communications and cloud computing the design of future networks and scenarios. In this workshop, we explore fundamental questions of the energy efficiency communication in a broader sense in conjunction with the most modern approaches to the communication and networking infrastructure enabling the cloud computing. In particular the joint approach of green communications and cloud computing aims to enable a future environment where jointly the communication and computing paradigms work together with a particular attention to the energy efficiency. Areas of Interest The areas of interest for International Workshop on “Green Communication & Cloud Computing” include, but are not limited to, the following: • Green Communications • Green Networking • Cloud computing • Autonomic Networking • Gris computing and networking • Pee-to-peer • Autonomic Networking • Cognitive radio • Cognitive Networking • Integration of communication and computing • Wireless Metropolitan and Wide Area Networks (WiMAX, LTE, TETRA) • Satellite Communications • Wireless Local Area Networks (WiFi) • Wireless Personal and Sensor Networks (LR-WPAN, UWB, Bluetooth) • Mesh and Ad-hoc Networks (MANET, VANET) • Heterogeneous networking • Software Defined Radio • Communication Security • MAC/Network protocols • Physical layer techniques • Demo and field trials Submission Guidelines Prospective authors are invited to submit technical papers electronically through EDAS (http://edas.info/). More information can be found at the conference website (http://iwcmc.org/2012). Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers—up to 6 pages of length, using the EDAS link: http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=11197 and select the “Green Communication & Cloud Computing” Workshop for possible publication in the IWCMC 2012 Conference Proceedings, which will be included in IEEE Xplore.
