Dear All,

the first workshop on "New Trends in Optical Networks Survivability" will take
place on Monday, June the 11th and it will be co-located with ICC 2012 in
Ottawa.

The workshop will address and discuss new mechanisms for network resiliency
that are specifically tailored to address the advances in transmission
technologies and the requirements of next generation network services. Both
optical backbone and access networks will be targeted. A number of experts from
industry and academia will provide their views on this challenging problems.

The program of the WS is available at:
http://www.ict.kth.se/MAP/FMI/Negonet/icc2012_workshop/program.html

The WS will also include a final panel discussion with our invited speakers
where we will elaborate upon thematic areas such as survivability in
wireless-wired converged access scenarios, resiliency for cloud computing, data
center networks and grid applications, disaster recovery, and survivability in
flexible elastic optical networks.

Looking forward to seeing you next Monday @ ICC 2012.

Best regards
