Here is some news regarding ComSoc standards activities.

  1.  IEEE DySPAN-SC (http://DySpan-sc.org<http://dyspan-sc.org/>) has become a 
sponsor for Dynamic Spectrum Access standardization activities.
  2.  IEEE ComSoc encourages academics to identify future need for standards. 
They could be taken up under Standardization Program Development Board (CSPDB).
