Call for Papers 19th European Wireless Conference (EW2013) '5G-Capacity and Spectrum Crunch in 2020' Guilford, UK, 16-18 April 2013 The 19th European Wireless Conference (EW2013) will take place in Guildford, UK from 16-18 April 2013 and will be hosted by Centre for Communication Systems Research (CCSR) at the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK (www.surrey.ac.uk). CCSR is the UK's largest and most well-known academic research centre in Mobile and Satellite Communication Systems. Guildford is home to the University of Surrey since 1966. It is located close to London and to both Gatwick and Heathrow Airports. The 2013 edition is aimed at addressing a key theme on “5G-Capacity and Spectrum Crunch in 2020”. Acceptance of submitted papers will be based on quality, relevance and originality. Proposals for special sessions and tutorials are also invited. Proceedings of EW 2013 will be made available on IEEEXplore. The conference calls for contributions on the following areas of interest: Transmission Techniques and Signal Processing --------------------------------------------- Modulation and Coding for Wireless Communications Signal Processing for Wireless Communications Synchronization, Channel Estimation, Equalization Iterative Detection and Processing MIMO Systems, Space-Time Coding, Diversity Fundamental Limits, Information Theory Multiple Access Schemes, Multiuser Detection Algorithms Interference Mitigation and Management Techniques Network Coding and Cooperative Diversity and Processing Adaptive Systems OFDM and OFDMA Localization and Positioning Source and Joint Source/Channel Coding Physical Security Spectrum Sensing and Parameter Estimation Wireless Networking ------------------- Relay based cellular networks Ad-hoc and Mesh Wireless Transport Layer Issues in Mobile and Wireless Networks Device to Device Communication Cross-layer Issues Protocols and Architecture for Wireless Networks Radio Resource Management Mobility Management and Billing Technologies QoS and Resource Allocation in Mobile Networks Security and Robustness in Wireless Networks Mobile/Wireless Networks Modeling and Simulation Heterogeneous Wireless Networks Wired-Wireless Integration Sustainable and Advanced Wireless Technology -------------------------------------------- Cooperative Techniques Power Management Interference Alignment Resource Allocation and Game Theory Near Field Communications and RFID Cross-layer Design in Mobile and Wireless Networks Ultra-Wideband Communications Software Radio & Re-configurability Cognitive Radio and Networks 2G-3G-4G Migration, Convergence and Interworking WiFi, LTE-A, 3GPP, 5G Wireless LAN/PAN/BAN Location-based Services and Positioning Wireless Broadband Mobile Access Testbeds and Experimental Systems Sensor Networks Technologies and Protocols Mobile Social Networks Radio, Channel and RF Subsystems -------------------------------- Radio Channel Measurements Radio Channel Modeling and Estimation Antenna Issues in Wireless Communications Smart Antennas and MIMO systems Compact Antennas for Mobile Terminals Modelling and Mitigation of RF System Imperfections BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARDS ------------------------- Papers bearing a PhD student as the first author will be considered for the European Wireless Best Paper Awards.
