========================================================================== ****International Conference on Computing, Networking and Communications (ICNC), 2013 ****Wireless Networks (WN) Symposium **** San Diego, USA, Jan. 28-31, 2013 **** http://www.conf-icnc.org/2013 =========================================================================== Wireless networks are expected to encompass heterogeneous access technologies and the Internet backbone for providing services to both mobile and stationary users. The Wireless Networks Symposium will focus on topics related to all aspects of MAC layer, Network layer, Transport layer, and Cross-layer design and analysis. The objective of this symposium is to serve as an international forum for experts from academia, industry and government to exchange ideas and results on research and development, and to promote and accelerate standardization and services of current and future wireless networks. This symposium presents original contributions in, but not limited to, the following topical areas: 4G (LTE/WiMAX) networks Wireless ad-hoc and mesh networks Wireless sensor networks Wireless LANs Wireless personal area networks Cognitive radio networks Smart grid networks Underwater networks Personal/Home/Neighborhood area networks Ultra-wideband networks Femtocell/Picocell networks 60 GHz mmWave networks Green wireless networking Network architecture Network planning Capacity analysis QoS provisioning Mobility, handoff, and location management Medium access control Routing Cross-layer design and optimization Flow control and congestion control Energy-efficient algorithms and protocols Multimedia communications over wireless networks Traffic modeling and traffic management Pricing and billing Optimization and game theory for wireless networking Measurement studies Testbed development and deployment Wireless networking standards Integration of heterogeneous wireless and wireline networks Resource allocation on smartphones Mobile cloud computing *Submission Guidelines* Papers are required to be submitted via EDAS Paper Processing System: http://edas.info/N12265; authors have to determine which symposium to submit the paper to. Any questions regarding to the paper submissions can be addressed to the TPC Chair, Dr. Hung Nguyen at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. It is required that the manuscript follows the standard IEEE camera-ready format (double column, 10-pt font) as well as the requirement set by EDAS paper submission system. The maximum length of ICNC paper without over-length charge is FIVE (5) page. The authors are allowed to pay for up to TWO (2) additional pages at $150 per over length page. Submitted papers may not have been previously published in or under consideration for publication in another journal of conference. The organizing committee of ICNC reserves the right to not review papers that either exceed the length specification or have been submitted or published elsewhere. Submissions must include title, abstract, keywords, author and affiliation with email address. During the initial paper submission process via EDAS, the authors are required to make sure the PDF file and EDAS registration page of a paper have the same list of authors and the paper title. Be certain to add all authors in EDAS during the initial paper submission process. Failure to comply with this rule may cause a paper be withdrawn from the review process. Once reviewed the listing of authors connected to the paper can NOT be changed in the final manuscript. *Important Dates:* Paper submission: *July 23, 2012* Paper Acceptance: *Sept. 20, 2012* Camera-ready paper: *Oct. 20, 2012* =============================================================== Wireless Networks Symposium Co-Chairs: Raheem Beyah ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>), Georgia Tech, USA Rose Qingyang Hu ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>), Utah State University, USA Jian Tang ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>), Syracuse University, USA _______________________________________________ IEEE Communications Society Tech.
