Book Title: Green Networking and Communications

To be published by:

Auerbach Publications, Taylor & Francis Group, USA

Objective of the Book

Global warming is one of the biggest challenges worldwide. Energy consumption
is increasing day by day resulting in worst environmental changes. Research
community is now focusing on “greening” efforts to reduce energy consumption by
introducing enhanced networking technologies. This book will include advance
information of green networking, existing mechanisms and developments, future
expectations in the relevant areas. The book could be a valuable reference book
for researchers, industry professionals, and academics. It could be used as a
text book for graduate students as almost all the concerned areas will be
covered.

Below are some desirable (but not limited to) topics:

- Green computer networks
- Power delivery techniques for the smart grid
- Smart grid network protocols
- Distributed networks for renewable sources
- Energy efficient smart devices
- Energy consumption and power saving techniques for communication systems
- Green Wireless Access Networks
- New architectures for improving energy efficiency in wireless networks
- Cognitive radio network for green networking
- Energy-aware routing protocols
- Energy management protocols
- Energy efficient network technologies
- Green cloud computing
- Real implementations of green networking systems
- Economic issues and benefits of green networking
