Call for Papers

IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference

Technical Program: Wireless Networking

(Held in conjunction with the International Consumer Electronics Show, January
8-11 2013, Las Vegas, USA)

IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference (CCNC) is a major annual
international conference. Taking advantage of its co-location with CES (the
world’s largest tradeshow on consumer technology, extensive press coverage and
~150,000 attendees), CCNC is organized with the objective of bringing together
researchers, developers, and practitioners from academia and industry working
in all areas of consumer communications and networking.

Authors are invited to submit a full paper (two-column, 6-9 pages) according to
the guidelines available at http://www.ieee-ccnc.org/. Re-viewing will be
double blind. The organizers of IEEE CCNC 2013 as well as all our attendees
expect accepted papers to be presented at the conference.

For the wireless networking program, potential topics are solicited in, but are
not limited to, the following categories:

• Cellular systems, 2G/2.5G/3G/4G and beyond
• WiMAX, LTE, WMAN, and other emerging broadband wireless networks
• Networking issues in WLAN, WPAN, and other home/personal networking
technologies
• Hybrid wireless and wired networks
• Satellite wireless networks
• Cooperative and relay wireless networks
• Body-based wireless networks
• Internet drive-through techniques
• Wireless networks for underwater and UAVs communications
• Delay tolerant wireless networks
• Wireless mesh networks
• Vehicular wireless networks
• Smart grid networks
• Cloud computing and data center networking
• Wireless Internet and mobile IP
• Wireless multimedia networks
• Service-centric and overlay networks
• Peer-to-peer wireless networks
• Location- and context-aware services
• End-to-end protocol, flow and congestion control
• heterogeneous wireless networks
• Resource and admission control
• Mobility, handoff, and location management
• Power management and control
• User cooperation and incentive schemes
• Cross-layer design and optimization
• Performance analysis and QoS provisioning
• Standardization activities of emerging wireless technologies

Important Dates:

• Technical Papers Due: August 31, 2012

• Acceptance Notification: September 28, 2012
• Final Camera Ready Artwork: October 15, 2012

Technical Program Chairs:

   Xi Zhang, Texas A&M University

   Wei Yu, Towson University
