CFP: BodyNets 2013 Special Track on Cloud-assisted Cyber-Physical Systems (CCPS)
Paper submission due: June 17, 2013 Conference dates: September 30, 2013 (Mon) - October 2, 2013 (Wed) Boston, MA Technically-sponsored by IEEE EMB and ACM SIGCHI Proceedings to be published by ACM The advances of body area networks, mobile computing, wireless networking and cloud computing offer tremendous opportunities in providing newer and better cyber-physical systems (CPS). The main objective of this special track is to provide a medium for researchers and practitioners to present their research findings related to the synergy among cloud computing and various CPS-enabling technologies such as body area networks, sensor-actuator networks, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, RFID and the Internet of Things (IoT). TOPICS OF INTEREST - Communication, information and software architectures - Integration techniques between clouds and CPS - A cloud of clouds for CPS - Massively distributed/deployable CPS - Cloud-assisted data management, mining and processing for CPS - Cloud-assisted decision support systems with CPS - Data acquisition, exchange and dissemination methods - Pervasive services for mobile cloud users - Resource management - Security and privacy - Energy efficiency - Workflow management - Intelligence and optimization between clouds and CPS - Data visualization - Heterogeneity of in/on-body and ambient sensors/actuators - Nanoscale sensors and communication in/on/around human bodies - Applications and experience IMPORTANT DATES Regular paper submission due: June 17 Short, poster and demo paper submission due: July 15 Notification for regular papers: July 15 Notification for short, poster and demo papers: July 29 Camera ready due: August 5 PAPER SUBMISSION Authors are invited to submit regular papers (up to 7 pages each) or short papers (up to 4 pages each) in the ACM proceedings format.
