Apologies for cross posting ---------------------------------------- ICDCS 2013 in Philadelphia will include a tutorial on GENI on Monday July 8. GENI--the Global Environment for Network Innovations--is an infrastructure for experimentation with networking and distributed systems. GENI is well suited for exploring networks at scale, thereby promoting innovations in network science, security, services and applications. GENI is currently being used by over seven hundred experimenters for research and education. The GENI project is sponsored by the National Science Foundation and there is no charge for using GENI. For more information visit http://www.geni.net or email h...@geni.net.
The GENI tutorial at ICDCS 2013 will include presentations, demonstrations and hands-on exercises that will get you started with running IP and non-IP based experiments on GENI. The tutorial will also include an brief introduction to OpenFlow and an exercise where you will develop a simple OpenFlow controller. For more information on this tutorial, visit http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/Tutorials/ICDCS2013. The GENI tutorial will be taught by Niky Riga and Vicraj Thomas of the GENI Project Office. Both Niky and Vic have done GENI tutorials at other conferences and workshops. -- Chiu C.
