-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 [Barcamp] As you all can see, I'm on the BarCamp2007 wiki participant thingie and I've proposed myself for 2 presentations slots, one for PrintScreen, talking about his somewhat frequently asked questions and also opening some space for discussion and moderated talk about prt.sc and other aggregators, another for my 10 year 'career' on opensource (I've started working in 1997 training people on Windows & Office and Linux was my hobby) so I rather prefer call it 'evangelism'. But I'm considering not attending for a couple of reasons: - I'll be the only one on the aggregators side talking while two others will be hearing, probably without the 'balls' to assume their project. Rather unfair advantage for me, I say. - PrintScreen is preparing itself for the 2.0 version, so it will take some days to put that in course and deliver the new version, with all the changes that we want - editorial, positional, graphical, etc. So the FAQ that I would present and the discussion right after it, will be inaccurate. - I love to talk, seriously, the ones that know me know how much can I 'shit chat', but my 10 years of opensource aren't ready for public disclosure. Sorry, maybe some time in the future. Then, I've changed my presentation for addressing some opensource problems, with the help of some (un)usual business matrix's. But it's not finished and I don't know if it will be ready on time.
Linkage: http://www.barcamp.org/BarCampPortugal2007 & http://createdeliver.com/brainstorm/2007/07/24/blogosfera/#comments [PrintScreen] As usual the portuguese are always on both sides: the greater one, the jackass one. Recently ... or better yet ... frequently we've received some emails on the project contact, always regarding aggregators measurements like; look, nananaa, I've got one more member that used to be yours, look, I've got something that you don't, look, the search engines gives us more 'karma' and therefor our 'status quo' is higher than yours, etc. So I've issued a 'fuck off' post and blocked all email regarding this kind of situations at prt.sc project contact. As usual, I regret these kind of situations, especially from guys that I've taken in great consideration and worked with them on some projects. But sometimes people became stupid and can only see the revenge side, as if it is good thing to do and put some sweat on it. So my take to them is: relax dudes, Prt.Sc is not on the aggregator market thing as you are, you rule and dominate the portuguese scene and you'll rule for many years to come! It's a taken! FYI, Prt.Sc is a completely new thing and it will revolutionate the way portuguese people access information that matters. Also, regarding this issue, I'm going to take the soft approach, which is to ignore all the fuzz about the others aggregators, since it's not our purpose and objective to be their rival. Hey!
